IND vs NZ ODI Series: The 15-member Indian squad for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand has been announced. Captain Shubman Gill, who was rested for the ODI series against South Africa, returns to the team, while key bowler Jasprit Bumrah and top all-rounder Hardik Pandya are not part of the squad. The selection committee also provided an update on Hardik Pandya.
According to the Centre of Excellence, Hardik is not yet fit to bowl 10 overs and has been rested to manage his workload ahead of the T20 World Cup. Shreyas Iyer, who was injured during the match against Australia, has also returned to the team, but his participation will depend on his fitness.

A few days ago, Ishan Kishan was included in the squad for the T20 series against New Zealand and the T20 World Cup due to his excellent performance. However, he has not found a place in the ODI team. Besides him, Ruturaj Gaikwad, who was part of the team for the South Africa ODI series, has also been dropped.
There were also speculations that fast bowler Mohammed Shami might get a chance, but his name is also missing from the squad.

The fast bowling responsibilities have been entrusted to Prasidh Krishna, Arshdeep Singh, and Harshit Rana. Kuldeep Yadav has been included in the spin department. Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar are part of the team as all-rounders. In Hardik Pandya's absence, Nitish Kumar Reddy has been selected as a fast-bowling all-rounder.
Yashasvi Jaiswal has also been given a chance in the batting lineup. This will provide flexibility to the team in the top and middle order. KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant have been included in the team as wicketkeepers.
