The BCB and the ICC have not yet issued an official comment on the subject, and a different PTI story claimed that

 the meeting was postponed because it was not possible.

Bangladesh T20 WC 2026 Schedule

Bangladesh's T20 World Cup 2026 campaign will start on February 7 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata against the two-time champion West Indies.On February 9, they will play Italy at the same location before facing England, the winners of the 2022 T20 World Cup.Bangladesh will travel to Mumbai to play Nepal at Wankhede Stadium following their match against England.

• Bangladesh's matches in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 be moved out of India due to player safety and security concerns.
• The problem stems from Mustafizur Rahman's release by the Kolkata Knight Riders, who signed him for INR 9.2 crore in the mini-auction.
• Although the league's player auction has not yet taken place, the PCB announced via the PSL's official handle on X that the left-arm bowler will play in the upcoming season, confirming his transfer to the Pakistan Super League.

• The 10th ICC Men's T20 World Cup will be co-hosted by Sri Lanka Cricket and the Board of Control for Cricket in India on February 7–8, 2026.
• The competition was previously held in Sri Lanka in 2012 and India in 2016.
• There will be 55 games between 20 teams at five locations in India and three in Sri Lanka.There will be a final on March 8 after two semi-finals on March 4 and 5.
• On February 9, they will play Italy at the same location before facing England, the winners of the 2022 T20 World Cup.
• Bangladesh will travel to Mumbai to play Nepal at Wankhede Stadium following their match against England.

 Eden Gardens in Kolkata and Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the first semifinal and final, respectively, 

while Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will host the second semifinal.Both competitions would be moved to R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo if Pakistan qualifies.
