Hyundai Inster EV: Hyundai has released the first teaser of its new, entry-level electric SUV, which will premiere on June 27, 2024. The model called Hyundai Inster will make its public appearance at the Busan International Motor Show 2024 in Korea. The event is scheduled to be held from June 27 to July 7. It will be a mass-market EV that will first go on sale in South Korea, followed by European markets.
What was shown in the teaser?
The official teaser shows the silhouette of the Hyundai Inster EV that comes with the new pixel lighting setup, which we also see in the Ioniq 5. It appears to be a slightly larger version of the Hyundai Casper with some unique design elements. However, the round headlamp cluster and LED DRLs from the Casper have been carried forward. The new Hyundai EV will get a charging port at the front.

Hyundai Inster EV Interior and Features
The interior pictures of the Inster are yet to be released, but we think it should be similar to its ICE counterpart. The cabin of the Casper is also extremely practical with flat folding seats (both front and rear), making it extremely practical. We hope this touch is given to the Inster as well to increase its appeal.

As of now, there is no official statement on its India launch. Hyundai Motor India aims to expand its BEV (battery electric vehicle) product portfolio with several new models. The company has already announced plans to invest Rs 26,000 crore for its facility. The funds will be used for production capacity expansion, new models, and battery pack localization.
EV to arrive next year
Previous reports suggest that Hyundai will introduce a new EV based on a new platform under its “Smart EV” project. Also, India will serve as the production hub for the new, affordable Hyundai EV for export markets. Meanwhile, the company is also preparing to launch the Creta EV in early 2025. Its production will begin later this year. In India, the Hyundai Creta EV will compete with the upcoming Maruti Suzuki EVX and Tata Curve EV.
