Hyundai Alcazar Facelift: South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor India has been continuously working on the development of the new Alcazar facelift. Now, finally, it has been revealed that the updated Alcazar SUV will launch in India on September 9. So far, we have seen several spy pictures of various test mules of this SUV on Indian roads. These camouflaged vehicles have highlighted that the new Alcazar facelift will feature several updates on both the exterior and interior.

A few test mules of the 2024 Alcazar indicated that this family SUV will share a lot of its elements with the updated Hyundai Creta, but will get a few changes for its unique appeal. As such, it is likely to get the Creta's split-LED headlights and an updated front fascia with connected LED DRLs. However, Hyundai might change the grille design on the Alcazar to differentiate the two SUVs

While the side design will be similar to the current model, the facelifted Alcazar will get newly designed alloy wheels. However, the rear will be different from the Creta as spy shots have shown vertically stacked connected LED tail lamps.

The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar Facelift is expected to get the interiors of the new Creta, albeit with a different theme. In our opinion, this is not a bad thing as the Creta's cabin looks modern with dual integrated screens.

Equipment on offer could include dual 10.25-inch displays (one for the infotainment system and the other for the driver's display) and a panoramic sunroof. Other features could include dual-zone climate control, 8-speaker Bose sound system, and wireless phone charging. The Alcazar will also continue with 6-seater and 7-seater options.

On the safety front, the facelifted Alcazar is expected to feature six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, electronic parking brake with auto hold, and electronic stability program. There is also a strong possibility that Hyundai might offer the advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) suite in the new Alcazar, as the more affordable Creta SUV now features this feature.

The refreshed Alcazar will continue to get 6- and 7-seater configurations. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options will continue. The petrol engine produces 160hp and 253Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. The diesel engine outputs 116hp and 250Nm and is available with either a 6MT or a 6AT.
