Honor Magic 8 Series: The Honor Magic 8 and Honor Magic 8 Pro were launched in China on Wednesday. These new models in the Magic series are available in four color options. They are powered by Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of built-in storage. These smartphones run on MagicOS 10 based on Android 16 and feature a triple rear camera setup. The Honor Magic 8 Pro has a 7,200mAh battery, while the Magic 8 model has a 7,000mAh battery.
Pricing of the Honor Magic 8 Series

The Honor Magic 8 starts at CNY 4,499 (approximately Rs. 55,000) for the 12GB + 256GB model. Its 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB variants are priced at CNY 4,799 (approximately Rs. 59,100), CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs. 61,600), and CNY 5,499 (approximately Rs. 67,800), respectively. It is available in Velvet Black, Snow White, Sunrise Gold, and Azure Glaze colors.
As for the Honor Magic 8 Pro, its 12GB + 256GB variant is priced starting at CNY 5,699 (approximately Rs. 70,200). The 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB variants are priced at CNY 5,999 (approximately Rs. 73,900), CNY 6,199 (approximately Rs. 76,400), and CNY 6,699 (approximately Rs. 83,000), respectively. It has been launched in Velvet Black, Snow White, Azure Glaze, and Sunrise Gold Sand colors.
Honor Magic 8 Pro Specifications and Features
- The Honor Magic 8 Pro runs on Android 16-based MagicOS 10 and features a 6.71-inch 1.5K (1,256x2,808) LTPO OLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR peak brightness up to 6,000 nits. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.
- In terms of photography, the Magic 8 Pro features a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP 1/1.3-inch primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 200MP 1/1.4-inch telephoto camera (f/2.6 aperture, 3.7x optical zoom, and 100x digital zoom). It features the Honor Nox Engine, which the company claims offers CIPA 5.5 image stabilization.
- The phone has a 50MP front camera and a 3D depth sensor for selfies and video calling. Honor claims the phone comes with IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, making it dust and water-resistant.
- Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS/AGPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou, NFC, OTG, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, IR remote, gyroscope, gravity sensor, color temperature sensor, and proximity sensor. It also includes an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
- The Honor Magic 8 Pro is powered by a 7,200mAh battery and supports 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. It measures 161.15×75×8.32mm and weighs 219 grams.

- The Honor Magic 8 shares the same SIM slot, software, selfie camera, IP rating, and processor as the Magic 8 Pro. It features a 6.58-inch full-HD+ (1,256×2,760 pixels) display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR peak brightness of up to 6,000nits.
- The phone also features a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP 1/1.56-inch main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 64MP Super Night God telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. There's also a 50MP wide-angle camera on the front.
- The Honor Magic 8 features the same connectivity and sensors as the Magic 8 Pro. It packs a 7,000mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 80W wireless charging. Its dimensions are 157.12×74.03×7.95mm, and it weighs approximately 205 grams.
