Honda Two-Wheelers has unveiled its new Honda CB1000F motorcycle. It was showcased as a concept model a few months ago. Now, the company has unveiled its production version. It's built on the CB1000 Hornet's platform, but retains a classic design. Mechanical changes have also been made to give it a distinct riding experience. Let's explore the details.

Honda CB1000F Engine

Honda CB1000F

The new CB1000F is powered by a 1,000cc, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine was previously featured in the CBR1000RR Fireblade (2017). It features several improvements, including new camshafts, a revised airbox, and a new 4-2-1 exhaust system. This engine produces 123.7 hp and 103 Nm of torque. The gearbox has also been revised. First and second gears are now shorter, while third through sixth gears have been lengthened to make the bike more comfortable on the highway.

Honda CB1000F Suspension and Braking System

The Honda CB1000F shares the same main frame as the Hornet, but with a new subframe design. The bike's seat height is 795 mm, 14 mm lower than the Hornet, making it more comfortable to ride. Its full tank weight is 214 kg and it has a 16-liter fuel tank. Suspension is handled by Showa's adjustable setup (41 mm telescopic forks in the front and a monoshock in the rear). It has two 310 mm front discs and a 240 mm rear disc brake.
