The 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V gets a new Kevlar Brown colour option, while the graphics on the body have been updated, giving the motorcycle a sportier look. Other than that, it retains most of the hardware, such as USD forks, disc brakes at both ends, dual-channel ABS (a first in the segment), LED lighting, and other components.
The sporty 160cc motorcycle retains its overall design, but this time it gets a single-piece seat instead of the split seat design of the older model, for greater pillion comfort. Other components like the 17-inch wheels are also retained, as well as the reverse LCD dash, which has an added feature in the form of a drag race timer, allowing riders to record their acceleration. Another added feature is the emergency brake feature, which flashes indicators when there is a sharp deceleration.

Apart from the panic break alert, Hero is now offering dual-channel ABS with the 2024 Extreme 160R 4V, which enhances the overall safety. The bike had a fully digital reverse LCD instrument cluster along with several features. With the 2024 model, Hero has added a segment-first drag race timer to record the 0-60 km/h sprint.
Other features including its powertrain remain the same. Talking about the 163.2cc single-cylinder oil-cooled SOHC 4V engine, it produces 16.6 bhp of peak power and 14.6 Nm of peak torque, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. Its main rivals include the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the Honda Hornet 2.0.

The first change that should be highlighted is the addition of dual-channel ABS. This will go a long way in enhancing the overall safety offered by the bike.
This is a welcome move, but overall it feels like Hero is a bit late to this party as the Xtreme 160R 4V’s rivals such as the Bajaj Pulsar N160 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V got the upgrade much earlier.
Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Console Update
With the 2024 update, the Xtreme 160R 4Vgets a negative light LCD instrument console like the previous version of this bike, but now the brightness of the console has been increased. During our tests with the older version of the bike, one of the issues we faced was that the console was unreadable
