Why the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control Is the Most Feature-Loaded Bike of 2026

Hero MotoCorp has added a new top-of-the-line variant to its Xtreme range, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control. The company has equipped it with several excellent features, including cruise control. With the new update, it has now become one of the most feature-loaded 160cc motorcycles in the country. Let's take a closer look at the new features it has received.

New Features of the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control

Like the Xtreme 125, the new Cruise Control variant features a ride-by-wire throttle system, which provides cruise control and three riding modes – Rain, Road, and Sport. These riding modes can be changed using updated switchgear.

The 2025 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V also features a new LED headlight and a new color LCD dash, borrowed from the Xtreme 250R.

4 Color Options - The new Cruise Control variant is available in four colors: Black with Red highlights, Dual-Tone Forest Green and Neon Green, Bronze with Black finish, and a 'Combat Edition' Matte Gray paint scheme.

Design of the 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control

It features a new front fascia inspired by the LED headlamp setup of the Xtreme 250R.

This gives the bike a sportier and more powerful front end. It also features a multi-layered, sculpted fuel tank and muscular tank shrouds.

The Combat Edition features Shadow Gray color and Neon Yellow highlights.

Furthermore, both the Standard and Cruise Control variants feature golden USD forks at the front, a red mono-shock at the rear, new graphics on the fuel tank, side panels, and belly pan, and a simple single-piece seat.

New Features of the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control

The biggest changes in the 2026 model are its feature package. It now features a ride-by-wire electronic throttle with cruise control and three ride modes: Rain, Road, and Sport.

It also gets a new color LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and real-time information. It also features new switchgear for operating the cruise control and updated digital cluster.

Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control Engine & Specs

The engine remains unchanged. The Xtreme 160R 4V cruise control variant uses the same 163.2cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine,

which produces a maximum power of 16.9bhp at 8,500rpm and 14.6Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.

Suspension setup includes KYB inverted forks and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by 276mm disc brakes at the front and 220mm disc brakes at the rear, with dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) standard.
