Google Pixel 9a is the next smartphone from the tech giant. Like the previous model, the Pixel 9a will be an affordable alternative to the flagship Pixel 9 series. Google usually launches the Pixel ‘a’ series during the I/O conference in May, but leaks suggest it could be released as early as next year. The Pixel 9a is said to be launched in March 2025.

• In terms of design, the leaked renders indicate that the Pixel 9a will not have a traditional camera bar or visor.
• Instead, the cameras will be flush with the back panel, enclosed in a pill-shaped module that houses two camera sensors.
• The device will be slightly taller and wider with dimensions of 154 x 73 mm. However, it also gets thinner, as it is likely to measure 8.5 mm compared to the 8.9 mm frame on the Pixel 8a.
• The upcoming device has a noticeable but uniform side bezel and flat edges.
• However, the rest of the phone looks similar to other Pixel 9 phones.
• Apart from this, according to a report by GSMArena, the Pixel 9a is likely to come in four new color options including Porcelain, Obsidian, Peony and Iris.

Some reports have revealed the color options of the Pixel 9a. The upcoming phone may come in Porcelain, Obsidian, Peony and Iris colors. The Pixel 9 was launched earlier. It has been available in Peony color since its launch, so it is expected to get the same shade.

Google Tensor G4 chipset will be available

The Google Pixel 9a is expected to have the GoogleTensor G4 chipset, which is found in Google's flagship model. Due to its low price, it is also being said that the company may reduce some things in its build quality. Its build quality will not be so good as compared to the Pixel 9 series.

Google Pixel 9a release timeline has leaked

• Google is reportedly planning to launch the Google Pixel 9a in March, not May.
• According to a report by Android Headlines, pre-orders will begin in mid-March 2025 and shipping and in-store availability will happen before the end of the month.
• This is not entirely surprising as Google already released the Pixel 9 series earlier this year.
• It was launched in August instead of the usual October launch.
• Google may change its launch cycle and Android 16 could also reportedly arrive in early 2025.

In India, the Google Pixel 9 price starts at Rs 79,999 for the base 12GB+256GB variant. The Pixel 9 Pro, with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, comes with a price tag of Rs 1,09,999, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL, with the same memory and storage configuration, is available for Rs 1,24,999.
