Good News For Inter-Caste Couples: Must Read

Inter-religion and inter-caste marriage is still unacceptable by the majority of people in many countries, especially India. Couples engaging in inter-caste marriages have been sufferers of honor-killings and kidnapping.

Aside from such horrific measures, many people go on to kill the couple, practice and shame them.

In order to protect such innocent couples from social exclusion and threats, the Government of Kerala has taken a  great initiative. They have declared to build “homes” for those couples who are involved in an inter-religion marriage case. The Kerala Government takes this step in order to maintain the safety of the couples and offer them secure accommodation.

Kudos to the Government of Kerala for taking this initiative.

We also request family members to accept inter-caste marriage, do not kill your or other’s children for social stigma about inter-caste marriage. Think about the happiness of your child and set free them to marry a person of their choice irrespective of different caste/religion.
