Genelia made her Bollywood debut with 2003 rom-com Tujhe Meri Kasam, alongside Ritesh Deshmukh. But if we talk about her first appearance on Indian television, it was a Parker Pen ad with megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
She was only 15 years old at that time and gained so much popularity through that ad. Her cute expressions were the highlight of the ad.

2. Why Genelia Quit Acting?
In an interview, when Genelia D’Souza was asked about the facts why she left acting after her marriage, she answered it very elegantly. Here’s what she said.
“Honestly, when I got married, I was very clear that I wanted to spend some time with my family. I had worked so much before that, people might have not seen me much in Hindi cinema but in South cinema, I literally worked 365 days of the year hence, I felt like I needed that kind of a break. I wanted to give my family priority and then I had babies, one after the other, so it was my time with my family, which I wanted and I am glad I am in that age of the film where all of that doesn’t matter anymore.”

3. Romantic Story With Ritesh Deshmukh

Genelia D’Souza first met Ritesh Deshmukh on the set of Tujhe Meri Kasam when she was only 21 years old. Their on-screen romance turned out to be the real one and they started dating each other.
Ritesh and Genelia continued their relationship for almost a decade without getting hitched. In 2014, the couple decided to take their relationship to the next level and tie the knot.
They were also blessed with a baby boy Riaan in the same year. In 2016, they had their second boy named Rahyl.
