EICMA 2023: Honda Global has introduced the new NX500 adventure tourer and CB500 Hornet streetfighter motorcycles at EICMA 2023. The 2024 Honda NX500 gets a bigger and newer design than the older model. The update includes a brand-new face with LED headlamp clusters and a larger windscreen. The 2024 Honda CB500 Hornet now packs a new single-piece LED headlamp with DRL.

2024 Honda NX500 and CB500 Hornet(EICMA 2023)

The 2024 Honda NX500 gets a bigger and newer design than the older model. The update includes a brand-new face with LED headlamp clusters and a larger windscreen. The fairing has also been redesigned and is now much larger, giving the model a stronger road presence. Changes at the rear include light-alloy wheels along with a new taillight. The bike also has a 5-inch TFT digital console with Bluetooth connectivity.

Along with the design, the power of these bikes has also been increased. It gets a 471 cc parallel-twin engine. The motor gets new internals with a crank counterweight and balancer shaft to make the unit smoother. Power output remains at 47 bhp. Honda has also re-tuned the suspension setup for better on-road and off-road capability.

Talking about the 2024 Honda CB500 Hornet, the streetfighter now packs a new single-piece LED headlamp with DRLs. The styling has also been updated for a more modern and muscular appeal. The fuel tank on the motorcycle has become more bulbous, while there is a new and larger side-slung exhaust on the motorcycle. On the feature front, the bike gets all-LED lighting and a 5-inch TFT digital console with smartphone connectivity.

The new Honda CB500 Hornet uses a 471 cc twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor producing 47 bhp and 43 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox and an optional quick-shifter. Suspension duties are handled by 41 mm Shoe front forks and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking performance comes from dual 296 mm discs at the front and single 240 mm disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS. The bike runs on 17-inch alloy wheels. Both of these are also expected to be launched in the Indian market next year.
