Ducati XDiavel V4 launch: Ducati India has officially launched its all-new XDiavel V4 in the Indian market. This motorcycle takes Ducati's sport-cruiser concept to a new level, offering a perfect balance of relaxed cruising comfort and superbike-level performance. The XDiavel V4 starts at ₹30.88 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of India's most premium and exclusive big bikes.

A New Approach to Sport Cruiser Design

The XDiavel V4 departs significantly from traditional cruiser designs, yet retains its long, low, and muscular stance. Ducati has paid special attention to riding comfort. The bike's seat height has been increased to 770 mm, the handlebars have been moved slightly closer to the rider, and the suspension travel has been increased, improving comfort on long rides.

Pillion comfort has also been noticeably improved. The rear seat is wider, longer, and thicker than before, and a standard pillion grab handle has also been added. All these changes make the XDiavel V4 not only stylish but also practical.

Bold and Muscular Styling

In terms of design, the Ducati XDiavel V4 looks quite striking. The muscular fuel tank, exposed mechanical elements, and quad-exit exhaust make this bike instantly recognizable. The 240-section rear tire with a single-sided swingarm further enhances the bike's aggressive character.

The lighting setup is also modern, featuring Ducati's signature double C-shaped DRLs with a full LED system. As color options, Ducati is offering two exclusive metallic shades—Burning Red and Black Lava—developed specifically for the XDiavel V4.

Ducati XDiavel V4 Granturismo Engine Performance and Power Output

At the heart of the XDiavel V4 is Ducati's 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine, which is based on the MotoGP-inspired V4 platform. This engine produces 168 hp at 10,750 rpm and 126 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. Ducati claims the bike can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 3 seconds.

This engine has been tuned for strong low-end and mid-range torque, providing smooth city riding and a relaxed cruising experience on the highway.

Advanced Technology Inspired by MotoGP

Ducati has incorporated several high-end technologies in the XDiavel V4. The counter-rotating crankshaft reduces the engine's gyroscopic effect, improving handling and agility. The cylinder deactivation feature improves efficiency in low-load conditions, and the exhaust note character also changes depending on the riding mode.

Another major highlight is its long service interval of 60,000 km, making long-term ownership a convenient experience.

Chassis, Suspension, and Braking Setup

Despite its big-bike appearance, the Ducati XDiavel V4 has a kerb weight of 229 kg, lighter than the previous XDiavel 1260. The bike features an aluminum monocoque frame, along with 50 mm fully adjustable inverted front forks and a fully adjustable rear monoshock.

Braking duties are handled by twin 330 mm front discs and Brembo Stylema monobloc calipers, which provide strong and confidence-inspiring stopping power.

Electronics Package and Rider Assistance Systems

The XDiavel V4 comes with Ducati's latest electronics package, supported by a 6-axis IMU. It includes features like cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, power launch, quickshifter (both up and down), and cruise control.

To customize the riding experience, the bike offers four riding modes—Sport, Touring, Urban, and Wet—along with three power modes.

TFT Display and Smartphone Connectivity

Riders can access calls, music, and messages, and optional turn-by-turn navigation is also available through the Ducati Link app. The "Welcome Effect" and "Coming Home" lighting functions further enhance the premium feel.

Touring and Customization Options

Ducati is offering a wide range of accessories for the XDiavel V4. Semi-rigid panniers, passenger backrests, windshields, and additional lighting options are available for touring. Sporty riders also have options like rear-set footpegs, a single-seat tail fairing, a performance exhaust, carbon fiber parts, forged wheels, and colored brake calipers.

Seat options can also be customized, which will be useful for taller riders or those who want a lower seat height.
