Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono launched in India - know what is special in this bike and its price

Luxury motorcycle brand Ducati has launched its all-new Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono in India. The new Hypermotard 698 Mono has been priced at Rs 16,50,000 (ex-showroom India). Initially, only the standard version of this motorcycle is available. While its more sportier RVE model is going to come later. The company has started booking for this model. While its delivery is expected to start by the end of July.

What is special about Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono

The company has given Y-shaped five spoke alloy wheels in this bike. Along with this, double C LED headlight has also been given in it. The bike has a high and flat seat. It has a high front mudguard. Features like cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Willy Control, Engine Brake Control, Ducati Power Launch have been given in this bike of Ducati.

Engine Power of Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono

The Hypermotard 698 Mono gets a powerful engine. This 659cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder unit, called the Superquadro Mono, claims to be the most powerful engine of its kind in the world. It generates 77.5 bhp of power and 63 Nm of torque. And it comes with a 6-speed gearbox and slip-and-assist clutch for a smooth ride. For folks who need an excellent sportier option, a quickshifter is to be had as an extra.

Braking and Suspension

A steel trellis frame forms the foundation of the Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono, which is attached to a steel-tube subframe and an aluminum swingarm. Talking about the suspension, there is an adjustable Marzocchi USD fork at the front for precise handling and a Sachs monoshock at the rear for better control and comfort. For braking performance, the 330mm disc comes from Brembo M4.32 calipers.

Riding Modes

The rider gets the option of three power modes in this bike. You can use cornering ABS for optimized braking in corners. You can choose from four ride modes according to the riding conditions and take advantage of the traction and wheelie control system. A 3.8-inch LCD instrument cluster is also provided for easy monitoring and adjustment.

Design Elements of Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono

The design elements of the Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono are influenced by the company's other model, the Ducati Hypermotard 950. The sharp LED headlight with a prominent beak, sleek fuel tank and integrated tail section are all reminiscent of the larger model. The twin exhaust pipes present under the tail remain a signature feature of the Hypermotard.

The company has launched the Hypermotard 698 Mono bike in the Indian market at an ex-showroom price of Rs 16.50 lakh. Ducati has introduced this bike in India in its classic red color. According to Ducati, the delivery of the bike will also start from the end of July 2024.
