Delhi Witnessed 35% Drop In Vehicles; Know Why

Delhi

As per the report of the Economic Survey of Delhi, 2022-23, Delhi roads have seen a drastic change as the number of vehicles on roads slipped by more than 35%. The reason for this happening is Arvind Kejriwal government has banned the motion of overage vehicles.

On March 20, Kailash Gahlot, the Finance Minister of Delhi tabled the Economic Survey in the Assembly.

The survey informed that the total number of vehicles in Delhi in 2021-22 stood at 79.18 lakh, which is clearly 35.38% down as the Arvind Kejriwal Government put a ban on diesel vehicles having more than 10 years of age and petrol vehicles having more than 15 years of age.
