A Day-Night Cricket Match Arranged In Naxal-Crowded Sukma, Chhattisgarh: A day-night cricket match was being organized by security personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Zila force, and other local forces in Naxal area of Sukma district.

The importance of match for the residents of the region, especially children, because in the night time this area is considered to be highly unsafe to get out of their homes. More than 150 security forces have lost their lives while fighting with the Naxals.

In the tournament, most of the children were playing a night match for the first time in their life. And the enthusiasm level they showed on the field was a mirror of their hopes of building a shining future for themselves.

Ramesh Yadav, Cobra 206 deputy commandant expressed delight regarding the development and declared that such events should be organized more frequently.

Speaking to one of the sources, Yadav said, “This is for the first time that such an event has been organized here.

He further said that “We should organize such events more frequently. I would like to thank the organizers. We will continue supporting them in such initiatives. All the kids, the school staff and villagers are very happy and enjoying this tournament ”

Previously, the Chintagufa cricket team took part in various district level events. The aim was to give the children more and more exposure to the outer world.

The day-night match was held between two local teams named Chintagufa Tigers and Chintagufa Jaguars and was won by Chintagufa Tigers by 35 runs.
