Communal Violence on Ram Navami in 4 States, Several Injured, 1 Died

Sunday, 10^th April, when Hindus across the country were celebrating the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, communal clashes erupted in Bengal, MP, Gujarat, and Jharkhand. Despite the arrangements to maintain law and order in the region, anti-social elements, stone pelting, and hostility were observed in these areas.

Amid the violent march on Ram Navami, several people got injuries and 1 died in Gujarat. Situations got out of control in Madhya Pradesh where Police had to use teargas shells during the procession. Check the full details below

Apart from these 4 states, Mumbai also witnesses violence in the Mankhurd locality. Around 20-25 vehicles were damaged, upon which Home Minister Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil has said that some people are trying to spread riots in the name of caste so that they can take advantage of it.

Even in JNU violence erupted on Sunday when two groups clashed overeating non-vegetarian food. Students of the left-wing and ABVP accused each other of causing a ruckus.
