This time the doors of Tindham are opening on 10th May. The doors of Ek Dham will open on 12th May. The Char Dham Yatra covering the holy pilgrimage sites Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri holds deep spiritual significance for devotees across India. To make the journey smooth and organized for the devotees, the government has made registration mandatory for Char Dham Yatra 2024. When will the doors open?
- As we have told for Char Dham Yatra 2024, the doors of Teen Dham i.e. Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri will open on 10th May.
- The doors of Badrinath are scheduled to open on 12 May 2024. In such a situation, if you are planning then keep these dates in mind.
Methods of Registration For Char Dham Yatra
- As we have already told the government has made registration mandatory for the convenience of the passengers. According to the Uttarakhand government, it is mandatory for all pilgrims to register for the Char Dham Yatra.
- Registration for the Yatra helps in tracking and monitoring pilgrims, thereby further strengthening security.
Along with this, registration also makes it easier for the passengers to avail and benefit from government services and facilities during the journey. - If you want to register, then let us tell you that you have two options. This includes photometric/biometric registration and online registration.
- You can go online by visiting the Tourist Care Uttarakhand website – https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in/.
- Through the mobile app i.e. Tourist Care Uttarakhand, pilgrims can download it from Play Store or App Store.
- Additionally, to start the registration process, pilgrims will have to send ‘Yatra’ via WhatsApp to +91 8394833833.
- You will need valid ID proof including an Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Passport or Driving License during travel.
- During the online registration process, the individual has to upload scanned copies of the selected ID proofs.
How to register online?
- First of all, go to the official website – registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in
- After this click on the ‘Register/Login’ option to start registration.
- Now start filling out the registration form with the required details like name, address, contact details and ID proof.
- After this, verify the registration with the OTP received on the mobile number and email address.
- After this login use the provided credentials to access the dashboard.
- Add the names, ages, and all the details of the persons willing to go on the trip.
- After this fill in the information like travel dates and places to visit.
- Now upload the scanned copy of a valid ID including an Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Passport or Driving License.
- After completion of registration, you will receive an SMS Hj URN (Unique Registration Number) on your registered mobile number.
- You can download the Char Dham Yatra Registration Form as it needs to be carried along during the journey.
