At CES 2023, Samsung Display is presenting its new display technology that they claim is the first to obtain a 2,000 nit luminance verification. The South Korean tech giant declared that its OLED panel for smartphones has achieved the highest Ultra Dynamic Range (UDR) verification awarded by UL Solutions, a global safety science company.

Samsung Display has been confirmed by a prestigious international organization for the impressive brightness of its OLED displays, up to either 1,500 or 2,000 nits, as the UDR mark suggests. The company has been granted UDR 1,500 and UDR 2,000 marks for this product.

Hojung Lee, head of the product planning team for small and medium-sized display division at Samsung Display, declared that the luminosity of a display is a highly influential factor affecting the consumer experience of a smartphone's image quality and performance. He also emphasized that Samsung Display will continue to be in the lead of the market with their distinctive technology and business experience in the OLED field, offering differentiated products motivated by consumer-oriented technology.
