There's great news for young people preparing for railway jobs. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the dates for the CBT-1 exam to be held under the NTPC Graduate Level Recruitment 2026 (CEN 06/2025). According to the board, the Computer Based Test (CBT-1) for Non-Technical Popular Category (Graduate) posts will be conducted from March 16 to March 27, 2026, at various exam centers across the country. With the release of exam dates, candidates can now focus on their final preparation and revision.
Total 5,810 Graduate Level Vacancies
A total of 5,810 positions will be filled under this recruitment drive. The exam will be conducted online and is likely to be conducted in multiple shifts. Candidates will be provided with complete information about their exam shift, reporting time, and center in the admit card.
RRB NTPC 2026 Admit Card & Exam City Slip Details

RRB has clarified that the exam city and date will be released approximately 10 days before the exam. Therefore, the city notification link may be activated by March 6, 2026. The e-call letter or admit card will be made available for download approximately four days before the exam date, i.e., around March 12, 2026.
CBT-1 Admit Card Download Date
The CBT-1 exam will be of 90 minutes duration. A total of 100 objective-type questions will be asked. The paper will include 40 questions from General Awareness, 30 questions from Mathematics, and 30 questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning. Negative marking of 1/3 mark will apply for each wrong answer, so candidates are advised to solve the questions carefully.
RRB NTPC CBT-1 Exam Pattern 2026
The RRB NTPC Graduate Recruitment process will be completed in several stages: CBT-1, CBT-2, CBAT/CBTST (as per post), document verification, and medical examination. Final selection will be based on merit and candidate performance.
Candidates are advised to reach the examination center before the scheduled reporting time. Carry a printout of the admit card and a valid photo identity proof. Do not trust any rumours or unofficial information and check all the latest updates only from the official RRB websites.
