'Baby Doll' fame Kanika Kapoor who has sung many other famous Bollywood tracks has been tested positive for coronavirus. Apparently she had a travel history from the UK and returned to Lucknow 10 days ago.

The 41-year old shared the news on social media saying that she had undergone a proper check-up at the airport and was tested negative then. "For the past 4 days I have had signs of flu, I got myself tested and it came positive for Covid-19. My family and I are in complete quarantine now and following medical advice on how to move forward. Contact mapping of people I have been in touch with is underway as well. I was scanned at the airport as per normal procedure 10 days ago when I came back home. The symptoms have developed only four days ago." Kanika

She urged others to get tested if they have signs of COVID-19:

"At this stage I would like to urge you all to practice self isolation and get tested if you have the signs," she added.

Kanika shared how she felt:

"I am feeling ok, like a normal flu and a mild fever. However, we need to be sensible citizens at this time and think of all around us. We can get through this without panic only if we listen to the experts and our local, state and central government directives. Wishing everyone good health."

So far 200 people in India have been tested positive for Coronavirus. The virus originated from Wuhan, China's seafood market and took a rapid pace infecting more than 245,700 people worldwide.

The singer also attended a lavish party at Lucknow which was held at a 5-star hotel. Many politicians, bureaucrats, and socialities attended the party. The family has now been quarantine and health officials are trying to find a way to trace the people who came in contact with Kanika Kapoor.
