Before Sonam Yeshey, only two bowlers had taken 7 wickets each in men's T20 International matches. Syazrul Idrus of Malaysia took 7 wickets in a T20I match against China in 2023. Namgang Chejay played a good innings for the Bhutan team in the match. He scored a total of 50 runs off 45 balls with the help of 5 fours and one six. Later, Namgay Thinley contributed 27 runs off 22 balls. Tashi Dorji scored 17 runs. Thanks to these players, the Bhutan team managed to score 127 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.

Only two Myanmar batsmen reached double figures

Later, no batsman performed well for Myanmar, and the entire team was all out for just 45 runs. For the Myanmar team, Htet Lin Oo scored 12 runs and Pyae Phyo Wai scored 10 runs.
