Audi Expects To Increase Car Sales in India

The automaker has also stated that it is ready to go by one lakh units by near of the decade.

The head of Audi in India, Balbir Singh Dhillon revealed that“The EVs will act as an important factor in making fresh demand as new models and a shoot in making infrastructure, this is being set by the vehicle firms along with private functions. It will attract more and more clients towards green mobility.”

He further went on stating that, “There is very much demand for luxury cars, and we anticipate this to carry on in 2023 also as numbers will go beyond the last high of about 41,000 units (last year sales were about 38,000 units) that the industry had struck in 2018.”

If we talk about the luxury car industry in our country, then there are a lot of companies in lines such as Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, Lexus, Volvo, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, and Bentley. The head has also revealed that growing economic activity and an increase in personal mobility after Covid-19 will help in carrying on the numbers strong.

The Smart Decision

Audi has already taken a good decision to take off diesel. It resulted in a growth of 27% in the last year as the firm sold. Similarly, 4,187 units against 3,293 units two years ago.

As per Dhillon, the numbers could have been much more, but supplies were repressed because of scarcity, consisting of semiconductors. The firm still has a good delivery accumulation, even as new demand stays cool as it launches some of its intimidating models once again.
