Assam Police Constable Recruitment 2025-26: The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 1,715 police constable positions in the Assam Police. Candidates selected for police constable positions will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹14,000 to ₹70,000.

The Board will recruit a total of 1,715 police constable positions in the Assam Police.

Eligibility Criteria for Application

The age of the applicants will be calculated as of January 1st, 2026. Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years of age. Age relaxation will also be available for special category candidates. SC and ST candidates will receive a five-year age relaxation, and OBC candidates will receive a three-year age relaxation.

To apply for positions in the Armed Branch (AB), candidates must have passed Class 10th from a recognized institution in India. For positions in the Unarmed Branch (UB), they must have passed Class 12th.

Assam Police Constable Recruitment Selection Process

Candidates will be selected through a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), a Physical Standard Test (PST), and a written exam. The written exam will include questions on basic arithmetic, general English, reasoning, Assamese history, geography, politics, general awareness, general knowledge, and current affairs. A total of 100 questions will be asked. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates selected in this exam will be called for a viva voce.
