Apple is reportedly developing an economical version of their AirPods as well as the newest AirPods Max. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that the AirPods will go into large-scale production somewhere between the last six months of 2024 and the first six months of 2025.

In addition, Kuo claims that the cost of the economical AirPods will be less than $99 (about Rs 8,000).
Apple is getting ready to release an affordable version of AirPods. Following a report of AirPods Lite, an analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has suggested that the next-generation AirPods Max is also in the making.

The mass shipment of AirPods Lite is expected to take place between the second half of 2024 and the first half of 2025.
According to the analyst, Hon Teng (FIT), a Foxconn subsidiary, is taking over from Goertek and will assemble the affordable AirPods model and AirPods Max.

Kuo says this move will bring “significant benefits” to the company. Meanwhile, Luxshare ICT will take some load off Hon Teng and take care of the AirPods Max’s production.

The analyst suggests that the new AirPods will have a price tag of less than $99 (Approx. Rs 8,000). This is much cheaper than the AirPods 2 and AirPods 3, which cost Rs 14,900 and Rs 20,900 respectively.
The current-gen AirPods Max will be replaced by the upcoming AirPods Max, Apple’s flagship over-ear headphones.
Although details of the new version are still unknown, some modifications are likely to be made.
