Apple Foldable iPhone Launch Expected in 2026: Price, Specs & Leaks

Apple is now preparing to enter the world of foldable smartphones. According to a report, the company may launch its first foldable iPhone in 2026, although Apple has not yet made any official confirmation about this, but according to industry insiders and analysts, this new device can be introduced in the second half of 2026 with the iPhone 18 series.

This foldable iPhone will bring the biggest change in Apple's design so far. It is considered to be the most important redesign after the iPhone X. This device can come in a book-style folding design, just like Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold model. It may have a large inner display and a small cover screen, which will be used for quick access.

Foldable iPhone Display & Design Leaks

According to CNBC, JPMorgan analyst Samik Chatterjee said that the foldable iPhone could have a 7.8-inch inner display and a 5.5-inch outer display. These screen sizes are slightly smaller than Samsung's Fold model, but Apple's focus may be on a slim and premium design. The report also states that Apple may bring a mechanism so that the fold line i.e. "crease" is not visible on the screen. This can be possible with advanced hinge technology or a new type of flexible display material.

Expected Price and Market Position

The starting price of the foldable iPhone can be around $1,999 i.e. around Rs 1.75 lakh in Indian currency. This will also be an ultra-premium device in Apple's premium category. Analysts believe that in the first few years, the company can sell several million units of this model and earn billions of dollars.
