Indian team's wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik has been appointed by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as the batting coach and mentor of their team. The franchise announced this on Monday by sharing a post on social media. Dinesh Karthik retired from IPL last season, but now Karthik will be seen in a new role.

Actually RCB shared a post on Twitter (formerly Twitter) and gave a big information. RCB said that Dinesh Karthik has been given the responsibility of mentor and batting coach of the team. RCB wrote that Dinesh Karthik is returning to RCB with a new avatar. And he will be the batting coach and mentor of the men's team. And also wrote - You can take someone out of cricket, but you cannot take cricket out of him.

If you look at Dinesh Karthik's IPL performance so far, it has been excellent. Karthik has played 257 matches. During this, 4842 runs have been scored in these matches. Karthik has scored 22 half-centuries. His best score has been 97 not out. The last season was great for Karthik. However, after this he announced his retirement. He scored 326 runs in 15 matches of 2024. And he has also been successful as a finisher.
Retirement was officially announced on 26 May
Dinesh Karthik played his last match in IPL 2024 on 22 May. His team Royal Challengers Bangalore qualified for the playoffs by defeating Chennai Super Kings, but lost to Rajasthan Royals and was out of the trophy race. After the final match ended on 26 May, on 1 June he officially announced his retirement from all formats.
