First Glimpse of Sara Ali Khan as a Courageous Freedom Fighter
On Monday, the first glimpse of Sara Ali Khan in her role as a courageous freedom fighter in Kannan Iyer's Prime Video original movie, Ae Watan Mere Watan, was revealed.
After she is done, she proclaims, "The British are under the impression that they have managed to suppress the Quit India movement. However, the voices of freedom cannot be restrained. This is the voice of Hindustan, coming from somewhere in the nation." Suddenly, her speech is cut off by a loud pounding on the door, causing her to look startled. Sara expressed her joy in a press statement about being part of the movie, saying, "I am thrilled and humbled that Prime Video and Dharmatic Entertainment have enabled me to be a part of this project that I think is truly worth telling. As an actor, and most importantly as an Indian, I'm proud to play a character that conveys courage, strength, and bravery." She said that it is a great honor to work with Kannan Iyer sir as he is completely devoted to the story. It is difficult to portray a role which is unlike anything she has done before, but she will strive to do her best. Above all, she is going to cherish every moment of playing a mysterious freedom fighter. The movie Ae Watan Mere Watan portrays the inspiring experience of a college student from Bombay who chooses to become a revolutionary fighter during the Quit India Movement of 1942. It demonstrates the valor, patriotism, selflessness, and resilience of the young people of India. Karan Johar expressed his excitement in being part of the project that brings to light a lesser-known chapter of India's independence struggle. On the occasion of India's 74th Republic Day, Aparna Purohit, Head of India Originals, Prime Video, expressed her pride to honor the unsung heroes of the Indian Independence movement with the upcoming Amazon Original Movie, Ae Watan Mere Watan. She further added her enthusiasm to have Sara Ali Khan headline this film, as she has dedicatedly embodied the role of the young freedom fighter.
