Electric vehicles are in demand now-a-days and have also been a revolution in the world of the automobile industry. At this point of time, about each and every automaker has introduced electric vehicles. And, the one who hasn’t launched has at least announced the launch.
Many countries are making laws to promote the use of electric vehicles as it leads to less pollution as compared to combustion engine vehicles.

- Charging Station: Despite ample charging stations and convenience of charging from home or office, long distance trips outside the city have always been a problem. EVs charging stations may or may not be available on highways or in villages. So, at this point of time, charging stations are a big problem for EVs.
- Not so budget friendly: Electric Vehicles are quite expensive. There is a wide difference between an EVs and a Petrol based vehicle. According to a study, EVs need to go 1.40 lakh km to break. In reality, the purchasers of EVs will have to put a lot of money into it.
- Other options: Electric vehicles still lack options. Indians seeking an electric car under Rs 10 lakh have only options such as Tiago EV and Citroen C3. Meanwhile, if you go for an internal combustion engine vehicle then you have a lot of options.
- Changing Battery: The biggest hurdle of an electric vehicle is its battery itself. Many dealers say that they give up to eight years of warranties. However, unfortunately by any reason, the battery needs to be changed then the owners will have to face a definite loss.
- The resale value: The answer to the question of what will be the resale value of an EV can not be answered properly. It is because electric vehicles are in their initial stage and the discussion related to used-vehicle price has not been started till now.
