2026 MG Hector Facelift Interior Previewed: Upgraded Upholstery, Infotainment Updates and Expected Features

MG Motor India has also issued another teaser video which is providing a preview of the interiors of the 2026 MG Hector facelift, before its official unveiling on December 15. The short video, which is shared on the social media of the brand, points out the changes in the cabin upholstery, dashboard trims, and infotainment layout.

The overall interior design will be similar to the one, but the facelift is aimed at minor improvements and not overhaul. These modifications  aim to ensure that the Hector remains competitive in the midsize SUV segment that is highly competitive but still this is the upcoming update cycle of the Hector.

2026 MG Hector Facelift Interior

The most recent teaser confirms the fact that the MG Hector facelift interior will get renewed seat upholstery with updated stitching patterns. What seems to have been added to the cabin is the seats and dashboard upholstered in brown leatherette which indicates that MG could be doing away with the white leatherette theme which it offers on the present Hector 5 seater.

The interior is made warmer and more high-end with this new colour option. It also ensures that the Hector is more similar to the Hector Plus, which already comprises a brown-and-black cabin combination. The teaser also gives a slight hint about the three-row layout, to systematically show that both five and seven-seat designations will be offered.

MG Hector Facelift Dashboard Design

The 2026 MG Hector facelift dashboard design is mostly the same as the current design. The centre console is still vertically aligned, which still retains that Hector interior identity.

Nevertheless, it seems that MG has added new dashboard trim materials and textures that have made it more modern and fresh. These enhancements make the interior more aesthetically pleasing, though do not affect the overall ergonomics of the Hector with which the owners are already used.

Even though the complete set of features has not been officially announced by MG, initial reports suggest that the 2026 MG Hector facelift may add relatively minor, yet still significant comfort upgrades.

It is speculated that ventilated seats may be coming back especially on higher variants. The wireless smartphone connectivity features will continue to be standard on the top trims. Even the teaser already gives a hint of new ambient lighting patterns and potentially updated climate control toggles.

These features like panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, and various USB charging ports are likely to remain the same.

MG Hector Facelift Exterior and Mechanical Details

Previously released teasers along with recent spy shots have already shown exterior updates such as a revised front bumper, heavy use of chrome on the grille, and a new design of alloy wheels. MG has also alluded to the introduction of a new shade of exterior paint which was blue.

The engine lineup is expected to be the same on the mechanical front. The Hector facelift will probably proceed with the turbo-petrol of 1.5-litre (manual and CVT) and the 2.0-litre diesel engine (which will probably only come in manual version).
