An email sent by Zomato co-founder Gaurav Gupta on Tuesday morning left the company and its employees in shock. It says “I am very emotional as I write this and don’t think any words can do justice to how I am feeling right now.”
It was obvious to get him emotional as the head of Supply announced separation after 6 years.

Gaurav Gupta expressed his journey in his last letter to Zomato saying “Always be in love with Zomato.” Cherishing his six years-long journey, he said “Feel proud of where we are today and feel even more proud of what we will achieve in the future.”
He further answered the question asking the secret behind his energy and commitment to the company. Gaurav dedicated it to the company’s employees saying you amazing people create the magic.
He has also thanked Deepinder Goyal for being influential to him and wished for the company’s success under his leadership. Gaurav also mentioned his amazing pals Mohit Gupta, Rahul Ganjoo, Akriti, and Akshant for their support.

In a response to Zomato Co-founder Gaurav Gupta’s emotional letter, CEO Deepinder Goyal expressed gratitude and remembers the tough times. “You will be sorely missed and imagining every day at Zomato without you would be impossible,” said Deepinder.

Gaurav Gupta joined the company in the year 2015 and worked hard to take Zomato to greater heights. Under his tenure, the popular food delivery platform made several influential decisions to improve its services.
He was then appointed as Chief Operating Officer in 2018. Within one year, he was elevated to the post of Co-founder.
Zomato is going to stop delivering services of grocery to its customer due to a lack of order fulfillment. The decision was taken one day prior to Gaurav Gupta’s resignation.
