Recently, a 25-year-old woman was raped and murdered brutally in Hyderabad. The rapists were later killed in an encounter done by Hyderabad police. But that encounter raised many questions about the judicial system!

Living in a time when these cases have sadly become common, our safety is in our own hands.
So, here is your safety guide that will help you in case of an emergency!

1. Let your intuition guide the way!

If you have a feeling that something is not right, then find a safe place instead of sticking around. You may find it silly but intuition has saved a lot of lives!

2. Never stop your vehicle for strangers!

While traveling alone in the night, make sure to never stop your car or bike for a stranger. If you travel by car, always check the backseat before entering and make sure to lock it after you sit down. If you travel by bike then wear your helmet which can prove to be a good defense object in case of need.

3. Carry safety objects always!

● When in an emergency, fighting your way out can be your best option if you can’t run to a safe place. The safety objects come in handy when you need to weaken your attacker to escape. There are a lot of options available in the market that are easy to carry and don’t even look like a weapon. Here are some of the things you can carry in your bag to be safe

Pepper spray
they are inexpensive and are easily concealable, they can blind your attacker for some time while you find a safe spot.

Tactile knife and pen
The tactile knife and pen are great tools that can injure your attacker when used with full force in close proximity.

Stun gun and tasers
Stun gun gives your attackers an electrical shock that will last for some time. Tasers although more expensive are more effective since they can incapacitate the attacker for some time.

Learn where to hit!
Before you attack someone, you should know the spots that will hurt the most. The vulnerable spots are eyes, throat, nose, groin, and knee. If you strike in these places, you have the best chance to escape.

Attack the groin!
If you kick your attacker in the groin area, it would take a long time for him to come back to his senses.

Free your hands!
If you want to free your hands, just rotate your
Wrist In the direction of the attacker’s thumb with full force and pull.

If the attacker grabs you from behind!
If the attacker grabs you from behind, hit him with the back of your head and when he put his leg forward bend down and pull it. It will make him lose his balance!

If you are grabbed from the side!
If someone grabs you from the side, use your elbow to hit them in the face, chest, and stomach. Use your full force and they will be disoriented.

5. Never ignore eve-teasing or stalking!
