China’s popular smartphone maker Xiaomi has now entered the electric car market. The company’s first electric sedan, SU7, was launched in the year 2024. Now the company has launched its new electric SUV, Xiaomi YU7 in China. The company has currently launched it in the Chinese market. There is tremendous enthusiasm about it in the market there. Xiaomi YU7 Price and Variants – Xiaomi’s electric car is ahead in many respects. It has overtaken Tesla Model Y in terms of price. The starting price of YU7 is CNY 253,500 (about Rs 30.25 lakh), which is CNY 10,000 (about Rs 1.2 lakh) less than Tesla Model Y. It has been launched in three variants.
- Standard: CNY 253,500 (about Rs 30.25 lakh)
- Pro: CNY 279,900 (about Rs 33.4 lakh)
- Max: CNY 329,900 (about Rs 39.37 lakh)
Record-Breaking Bookings – Xiaomi YU7 has received a great response when it was launched in China. The booking of this car reached 2 lakh in 3 minutes and about 3 lakh in the first hour. These figures clearly show the craze of people towards Xiaomi’s electric vehicles. A token amount of CNY 20,000 (about Rs 2.4 lakh) has been fixed for booking.
Xiaomi YU7 Design and Interior Features
Exterior Design Elements – It has many great elements like stylish headlights, sporty bumper, wide rear, attractive connected LED taillights, flush door handles and great alloy wheels. It has been launched in four interior color options, which are Turquoise Grey, Coral Orange, Twilight Blue and Iris Purple.
Interior Comfort and Tech Features – The interior has a 1.1 meter wide hyperscreen, which includes three mini-LED screens including the driver’s instrument cluster. It also has a large infotainment screen and a 6.68-inch rear control screen for the rear passengers. Apart from this, Nappa leather upholstery, 25-speaker audio system with Dolby Atmos, cockpit-like center console and a large boot space of 678 liters have been given.
Xiaomi YU7 Battery, Range, and Performance
All three variants have a silicon carbide 800V architecture battery pack. The Standard and Pro versions have a 96.3 kWh battery, while the Max version has a larger battery of 101.7 kWh.
Standard variant: It has a RWD (rear-wheel drive) setup, which generates 315 bhp of power. Its range is 835 km, which is the highest among the three.
Pro variant: It has a 489 bhp dual-motor AWD (all-wheel drive) setup. It gives a range of 770 km.
Max variant: It has a 681 bhp dual-motor setup. Its range is 760 km. This top-spec Max version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.23 seconds.

- Xiaomi is not behind in speed and performance as well. The YU7 Max variant gives a power of 681bhp and reaches a speed of 0 to 100km/h in just 3.23 seconds. Tesla Model Y is also fast but falls a little behind in front of this figure.
