Xiaomi 15 is going to launch in India soon. Ahead of the official announcement, this smartphone has appeared on BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification, which points to its launch soon. Let’s take a look at the information revealed so far about this phone.
BIS listing of Xiaomi 15
Xiaomi 15 has been spotted on BIS with model number 24129PN74I. This listing does not reveal the features of the device, but it confirms that its launch in India is near. At the moment, this listing is only for the base Xiaomi 15 model, while there is no mention of the Pro variant.
Already launched in China
Let us tell you, that Xiaomi 15 has already been launched in China (October 2024). In India, the company introduced only Xiaomi 14 last year except Xiaomi 14 Pro. However, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra was launched later. The Xiaomi 15 and its other variants are expected to hit the Indian market this year.
Xiaomi 15 Price, Specifications
The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs. 52,000) in China. The Indian variant is expected to come with the same price and hardware as the China variant.
The Xiaomi runs on HyperOS 2 interface based on Android 15 and features a 6.36-inch 8T LTPO display with 1.5K resolution (1,200×2,670 pixels), 120Hz refresh rate, and 3,200nit peak brightness. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 onboard storage.
It has a Leica branded triple rear camera unit that includes a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 900 sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle shooter. There is a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies and video chats.
The Xiaomi 15 has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and supports a face unlock feature. It is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. It has a 5,400mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
