A proud moment for India especially Madhya Pradesh. Kalpana Gurjar of Raibidpura village of Khargone district has achieved success in the World Youth Bridge Championship 2022 held in Italy.

She has won the gold medal in the single event in Under 26 besides winning silver in pair event with Vidhya Patel.
World Youth Bridge Championship 2022- Khargone Girls Won Gold and Silver Medals
Around, 152 players from 48 countries around the world participated in the competition. In this event, which lasted till late Sunday night,
Kalpana has been successful in getting the gold medal in the final round.
Three days ago, Kalpana Gurjar and Vidhya Patel of Raibidpura won the silver medal in the pair event.
Bridge Club member Anil Verma says that it is a matter of pride to win gold and silver medals in world class competition.

This will encourage more players and they will prepare better in this game.
Along with this, the name of the village will be known for good works at the state and national level.
The villagers have also urged to give due respect to the medal winning players.
World Youth Bridge Championship 2022 Winners
For the first time, the event added Under 31 category and also allowed transnational pairs.
From India, a 27 member squad participated in the event and won 4 medals in the pair events.
Anshul Bhatt from Mumbai won a gold in pair event with his partner Darwin Li from Toronto. He is the youngest player in the event.

Another gold came from Sayantan Kushari and Sagnik Roy in under 31 category.
Souvik Kar and Pritam Das won a silver medal in pair event whereas another silver won by Raibidpura girls.
Both are from humble background of Khargone village. Surprisingly, the village is know for having bridge players in every house.
But Kalpana and Vidhya took the game seriously and decided to take it to the global level.
They have been playing the game since 13 and now brought immense proud to country.
