Actually, the first environmental conference was celebrated on 5 June 1972, in which 119 countries participated. This conference was held in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. The United Nations General Assembly designated 5 June as Environment Day, which was the first day of the Stockholm Conference on Human Environment.
