Apple has released a new iOS 18.6 update for its iPhone users, in which more than 20 serious security flaws have been fixed. Through these flaws, hackers could access your private data, and could also crash these apps or control the device without permission. But no security breach has been confirmed yet. Eight serious flaws related to WebKit have also been fixed. These flaws could crash the Safari browser, manipulate web content or steal personal information. Because WebKit is the base engine of Safari and many other apps, these fixes are considered very important.

iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 are now available for all supported devices. iPhone 11 and later models, as well as new iPads can get this update. Users who cannot install iPadOS 18.6 can download iPadOS 17.7.9 which includes most of the important security fixes.

- To install the update, go to Settings > General > Software Update and follow the on-screen instructions.

- Apple has also released macOS Sequoia 15.6 in which more than 80 security bugs have been fixed.
- Along with this, security updates have also been released for macOS Sonoma (14.7.7), macOS Ventura (13.7.7), watchOS 11.6, tvOS 18.6 and visionOS 2.6.

Even though there has been no active use of these flaws so far, Apple says that a single unfixed bug can give hackers a chance to access your device.
