The Indian stock market continued to witness a sell-off for the fourth consecutive session on Monday amid continued withdrawals by foreign investors. The Sensex opened at 76,629.ninety towards the preceding near of 77,378.ninety one and fell through over 800 factors or 1 in step with cent to an intraday low of 76,535.24.

The Nifty 50 opened at 23,195.40 against its previous close of 23,431.50 and fell over 250 points or 1 per cent to hit 23,172.70. Selling was strong in the mid and smallcap segments. The BSE midcap and smallcap indices fell by up to 2 per cent.
