No doubt, Indian comedian Kapil Sharma is one of the most popular television personalities nowadays. With his humorous jokes in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show, he filled our lives with a lot of fun and entertainment.

And recently, the comedian delivered the movie “Zwigato” to his audience. It’s the third movie of his life after Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and Firangi. However, Zwigato turns out a box office failure like every low-budget Bollywood film.

But still, the work and efforts of Kapil Sharma in the film were praise-worthy. He has promoted it in various locations and platforms. During this, the comedian also appeared in Kareena Kapoor Khan’s show Dabur Vita What Women Want.

In the show, Kapil opened up about various things he needed to keep in mind while cracking a joke. He also disclosed that once the channel banned him from saying the word “Paagal.” Scroll down to read his full statement.

During the interaction with Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, Indian comedian Kapil Sharma went on to describe the things he needs to keep in mind while cracking a joke.

He said, “We are evolving as a society, comedy that used to be funny 10 years ago, people are now taking a lot of offence to that. So then when you write a script or sit down with your team, do you keep it in mind that we can’t make fun of such and such situation?”

By continuing his statement, Kapil recalled an incident when GEC channels banned him from saying “Paagal.”

He said, “Honestly it happens a lot, in the society that I come from Amritsar, Punjab it’s there in our culture that the bride’s side would tease the groom and call him out with names and joke over it. Body shaming and other things, that were in our culture but now if we do it here it’s called body shaming.”

“When you work with GEC channels, you get SNPs on words you can’t even imagine. Currently, I was told by the channel that I cannot use the word ‘paagal’. I didn’t get it and asked why? Later, they told me the reason saying, actual people who are termed with the name get offended.”

He added, “Yet, it is a word we use casually with our children, and siblings call each other ‘paagal’ with fun. I sometimes think we’re moving backwards. I recall Javed Akhtar said in an interview that he couldn’t write the moment in Sholay where Dharmendra speaks while hiding behind the statue of Lord Shiva because it would offend people.”
