Whatsapp Update Privacy Policy, Stops Stalker To See User’s Last Seen

Whatsapp has already provided us with a feature to hide our last seen and other online activities. But do you know that some third-party apps can still track your activities? These apps are used by stalkers to stalk anyone on WhatsApp. So, to stop this and improve your privacy protection Whatsapp has added a new privacy policy.

Whatapp has taken a new initiative to stop stalkers and make this network more secure. WEBetleinfo shares an email response from WhatsApp customer support. This confirms that the new privacy features are effective for all Whatsapp contacts- including business accounts.

This new Whatsapp feature makes sure that the people who are not in your contact or haven’t chatted before, can’t see last seen and your online presence on WhatsApp.

Some third-party apps can track your online presence as well as your last seen even they are not in your contact. They need only your number to track your WhatsApp activities. This new Whatsapp privacy policy prevents this all.

Along with that WhatsApp has launched more updates earlier, these are

  1. Whatsapp Flash Calls: To verify your number with calls.

2. Multiple Device Support: To connect with 4 devices at one time.

3. Mixed group call feature: To add participants in an ongoing group call.

4. Disappearing mode: To disappear chats in a period of time, like Snapchat.

5. Whatsapp Advanced Search: To filter and search text, GIF, video, audio, document etc.

6. Increase video call limit: Whatsapp increased the participants limit to 8 people.
