The Hundred Draft is another type of cricket tournament organised in England & Wales. However, it’s a little different kind of tournament as it features hundred balls matches involving eight men’s and eight women’s teams. The Hundred Draft is a Professional Franchise of 100 balls cricket that involve eight men’s and eight women’s teams. England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) run this tournament every year to attract younger crowds to watch cricket. It is a shorter formate that will only last around two and a half hours. 

This is a domestic tournament in England. Most of the foreign players were also participate in it. The show will freely air on the BBC network, while some matches were also available on a Youtube Channel “Sky Sports”.

There are some different sets of rule that varies Hundred Draft from Other Tournaments. Check Out below:

Bowling Rules

  • There are only 100 balls per inning. The team that scores the most runs win.
  • There is no role of overs in the match. Bowlers will deliver either 5 or 10 consecutive deliveries. The decision is up to the captain.
  • One bowler can only deliver 20 balls in a match. 
  • The bowling side will change ends only after balls.

Powerplay Rules

  • Powerplay is on for the first 25 balls of the innings.
  • During powerplay, only two players are allowed outside of the 30 yards circle.

Timeout Rules

  • Each team get two minutes strategic timeout during the match.
  • The couch can walk in the ground to discuss tactics with their players. He has a right to do it in the middle of the match.
