15 December 1950 – was the day India lost its ‘Iron Man ’ –Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

He was the India’s first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of independent India.

Patel is credited for unifying the country by presiding over the merger of hundreds of princely states into the Union.
