Superstar Rajinikanth was born on December 12, 1950, in a Maratha family in Banglore

Rajinikanth was a bus conductor in Bengaluru. Then, he started doing drama from where his acting career began

Soon he discovered Madras Film Institute and his acting skills caught the attention of famed director S Balachander.

He made his debut with a Tamil film “Apoorva Raagangal (1975)" which received three National Awards.

Rajinikanth was also casted as the villain in movies like Avargal and Moondru Mudichu

Rajnikanth's first lead role was in a Telugu movie named Chilakamma Cheppindi.

1978's Bairavi gave him his first lead role in a Tamil film.

From then, there was no looking back. Rajinikanth became one of Tamil cinema's most popular stars
