Actor and former BJP MP Paresh Rawal's speech video in Valsad going viral 

Paresh Rawal who visited Gujarat for the election campaigned ahead of the first phase of the assembly election

During his campaign in Valsad he was talking about  border security in which he said some controversial things

Paresh Rawal said “Gas cylinders are expensive, but their price will come down. People will get employment too.

And further said “ But what will happen if Rohingya migrants and Bangladeshis start living around you, like in Delhi? What will you do with gas cylinders? Cook fish for the Bengalis”

Many social media users take it as hatred against Bengali.

Social media users called Paresh Rawal’s speech ‘xenophobic and dog whistling against Rohingya and Bangladeshi Muslims and his hatred towards fish-eating Bengali is hardly subtle.

Paresh Rawal clarified and apologise to Bengali in his tweet.

He replied that “ of course, the fish is not the issue AS GUJARATIS DO COOK AND EAT FISH. BUT LET ME CLARIFY BY BENGALI I MEANT ILLEGAL BANGLA DESHI N ROHINGYA. BUT STILL, IF I HAVE HURT YOUR FEELINGS AND SENTIMENTS I DO APOLOGISE.”

The post was in response to a user demanding his clarification: “ Fish shouldn’t have been the topic. He needs to clarify.”
