Memphis rapper Big Scarr has reportedly died at the age of 22.

 The musician's passed was reported by The Shaderoom on Thursday.

 It was confirmed by rapper Gucci Mane, whose record label Scarr was signed to.

 U.S. newspapers and social media revealed the death of the young musician.

  The cause of Scarr's - born Alexander Woods - death is currently unknown 

  'This hurt,' Gucci wrote underneath a carousel of snaps that featured the Memphis native, adding, 'I'm a miss you @bigscarr' 

 The rap star is known for his mixtape titled Big Grim Reaper, which was released in 2021, and was gearing up for an upcoming tour with Key Glock .

  Big Scarr was engaged in a near-fatal shooting in 2020, when he was shot in the hip and the bullet went to his chest.
