Jeremy Renner was hospitalized on New Year’s Day following a ski plowing accident.

 Hollywood star Jeremy Renner is in “critical but stable condition" after he suffered injuries due to a weather-related accident while plowing snow.

 The accident took place on Sunday in  Reno, Nevada.

 His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care,"-the spokesperson said.

 While the location of the accident was not confirmed, Renner has owned a home in Washoe County, Nevada for several years, according to the Reno Gazette Journal.

 That area in northern Nevada was hit by heavy snowfall due to a storm on Near Year’s Eve, according to the newspaper.

 The 51-year-old actor has been nominated for two Academy Awards over his acting career, for his performances in The Hurt Locker and The Town.

Renner was previously nominated for Best Actor at the 2010 Academy Award's for his performance in "The Hurt Locker."   

 The two-time Oscar nominee currently stars in the Paramount+ series "Mayor of Kingstown."  The second season of the show is set to begin airing on January 15.
