Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has joined Saudi Arabian club Al Nass.

He signed a 2-and-a-half year contract with Al Nassr.

Al Nassr have won the Saudi top-flight titles 9 times, last in 2019.

The salary offered by Al Nassr to Ronaldo is believed to be the highest earning by any footballer in history.

Ronaldo’s contract has been estimated by media to be worth more than €200 million ($214.04 million).

“I am fortunate that I have won everything I set out to win in European football and feel now that this is the right moment to share my experience in Asia,”- Said Ronaldo

He heads to play in Asia, ending the years of dominance in Europe.

The Portugal star has won most of the major honours to be won in European football.

The Saudi football club said in a statement, “History in the making. This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves.
