IPL announces rule of substitution phrases it as ‘ Tactical Substitute ’

IPL took it on Twitter and posted “ Time for New Season, Time for New Rule ”

This rule is similar to Football where 3 players can be substituted during the game

The tactical concept will help teams take a more active role in the IPL matches

Teams can substitute a player with a 12th member from the bench

The player can be changed till the 14th over of the inning

The cricketer will be able to bat and bowl with full quota like every other player

The substitute player option will not be available if the inning is reduced to 10-Over

Any player can be replaced with batsmen or a bowler

The impact player can come and bat even after getting substituted for an already-dismissed player
