On Sunday, Brazilian legend Pele's daughter says he has not been moved to palliative care

Pele has been fighting a long battle with colon cancer.

The 82-year-old has been receiving hospital care regularly since he had a tumour removed from his colon in September 2021.

Pele was re-evaluated at the hospital last week to assess the ongoing cancer treatment

His unexpected hospitalization has fueled widespread speculation that he is in palliative care.

All rumours of Pele's being in palliative care were discarded by his daughter Flavia.

“It’s pretty unfair for people to say that he is under palliative care. Believe us: that’s not it,” said Flavia in an interview with Globo TV.

According to the most recent reports, he was diagnosed with a respiratory infection following his hospitalization and is doing well.

Pe le's other daughter, Kelly stated, “He is not saying goodbye in a hospital right now”.

Pele is the greatest Brazilian player as he won the World Cup three times, a feat no other player has accomplished.
