Vivo Y28s and Y28e launched in India
Vivo has launched the Y28s smartphone in three variants. Which includes 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB. Their prices are Rs 13,999, Rs 15,499 and Rs 16,999 respectively. Both smartphones will be available online on Flipkart, Vivo India e-store and all retail stores in the country from today (July 8, 2024). Y28s comes in Vintage Red and Twinkling Purple colors. While the Y28e comes in Vintage Red and Breeze Green colours.

- The dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo Y28s and Vivo Y28e run Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 and feature a 6.56-inch LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and 840nits peak brightness and TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. The former has a screen with HD+ resolution while the latter has an HD display. They are powered by the 6nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6100 5G processor and the Y28s has up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. This onboard memory can be expanded up to 16GB.
- For optics, the Vivo Y28s features a dual rear camera setup that houses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 primary sensor. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel portrait camera for selfies and video calls. The camera unit of the Vivo Y28e includes a 13-megapixel main sensor. It also has a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. Both phones support Super Night Camera mode and Multi-style Portrait mode for shooting in low light and bright light conditions.
- Connectivity options on the Vivo Y28s and Vivo Y28e include 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, Wi-Fi, and a USB Type-C port. Onboard sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, motor, and proximity sensor. The Vivo Y28s has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for authentication. They are given an IP64-rated build for dust and water resistance.
- The Vivo Y28s and Vivo Y28e pack a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging. Vivo promises up to four years of battery life for the new phones. They measure 8.38mm in thickness.

The Vivo Y28e comes in Dazzle Vintage Red and Breeze Green colours and is priced at Rs 10,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant and Rs 11,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant.
